We're constantly on the lookout for certain moments. The ones that make your eyes light up, make your heart skip a beat or leave a room full of people in complete silence. Moments like these are rare, fleeting, sometimes magical, but always within reach. All we have to do is listen. These moments have different names for everyone, we simply like to call them Arteffects.

We’re a storytelling studio, so we like to let our films do the talking for us. That leaves us to simply listen, and get to know the people we make the films for. What makes them tick, who do they want to be, and most importantly; what makes their eyes light up? We ask the same from our clients, as well as our team behind the screen. We know that to make someone really shine, we need to listen first. Where the energy flows, we follow.

Director mark strives to understand everyone. He wants to get the story out of every situation and every person. That's the mental challenge. There are hardly any physical ones, since it is built like a tower.

Onze visionaire regisseur Miguel werkt graag alles tot in de puntjes uit in de voorbereiding, zodat tijdens het filmen alles precies zo wordt als hij in zijn hoofd had en iedereen dat plaatje snapt.

Our visionary director Miguel likes to work out everything to perfection in the preparation, so that during filming, everything turns out exactly as he had in mind and everyone gets that picture they expected..

There is not much that account manager Marieke loves as much as winter sports, but delivering the most beautiful projects together with customers is one of them. Now and then a slalom is needed, but the end goal is always in sight.

Xmas at the ASE HQ

We're like one big family. We create together, get frustrated together and celebrate together. Ending the year and boosting the energy for the next, Christmas is perfect for that.

Michael branding en website

Michael was there in 2008 when Arteffects was founded. In 2020 we had to say goodbye to him with great sadness. But his spirit and soul live on, for this is still the logo and website he designed and we are proud of that!

Great lengths perfect ambiance

We won't settle until we've created the perfect ambiance for the shots. We need the best producers to help us build the sets. Like Ruben at the 'Papeloze kerk' in Drenthe.

Every year we can work on the most beautiful projects, Bridge to Liberation is certainly one of them. Someone who is always involved is Arno from Rock Shot and he gave us this nice insight behind the work.

We're getting places. ;) Like one of our favorite cameramen, Freek Lindeloo. He is going to make the shots you'll love.

Geen tijd zoals nu. We stoppen niet voordat we de beste foto hebben, ongeacht de tijd. We hebben de neiging om de nacht toch leuker te vinden.

No time like now. We don't stop till we got the best pic, no matter the time. We tend to like the night better anyway.

Accountmanager Cosette is helemaal thuis in de wereld van de 'agencies'. Als verbindende factor tussen de drie labels van ASE slaagt ze erin de plannen van opdrachtgevers en het team te verenigen en naar een hoger niveau te brengen. Ze heeft ook haar eigen agency podcast. Haar eerste aflevering gaat over mede-oprichter Robert.

Account manager Cosette is completely at home in the world of 'agencies'. As a connecting factor between ASE's three labels, she succeeds in uniting the plans of clients and the team and taking them to a higher level. She also has her own agency podcast. Her first episode is about co-founder Robert.

training interns

We see great importance to training interns. They learn from us and we learn from them. With the Arteffects Academy projects we really throw them in the deep end and clients with less budget are given something unexpected and interns have the opportunity to grow. Like Quinten did during one of the many shoots.

We zijn niet bang om nieuwe technieken te gebruiken

We are not afraid to use new techniques. Peter enriches our films with the most beautiful visual images, but can also be found on set to experiment with the latest techniques.

They grow up so quickly.

They grow up so quickly. Aicha was already an intern with us when we were young, but now as a producer she has traveled all over Europe and beyond with us.

Paul the movie at the San Sebastian film festival

Our short movie 'Paul' was shot in South Africa. The movie has been shown in 12 different countries at several festivals. Including the San Sebastian film festival, where we were met at the red carpet as movie stars. What luck! The movie has since then won two awards.

10 jaar arteffects

Er is altijd reden voor een feestje, maar in 2019 was die wel erg sterk. We bestonden alweer 10 jaar en dat heeft de buurt geweten. We werden overspoelt met liefde. Dat was fijn!
